DAY-1: Sunrise Angkor main temples & Monk Blessings
Our guide & driver will pick you up at your the hotel lobby at 4:40 am in the early morning to explore Angkor Wat Sunrise is a magical start to your day private tour and then we keep walking into the temple to visit Angkor Wat is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Cambodia an incredible building that was constructed about a millennium ago to demonstrate how powerful the Khmer Empire was at the time. This complex is four times the size of Vatican City, making it the largest religious site in the world. Spend the balance of the morning exploring the numerous passageways, levels, and rooms that formerly contained priceless antiquity. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

You will depart Angkor Wat and go to the countryside to see the “jewel” of the Angkor region, the beautiful Banteay Srei temple. The so-called “Citadel of the Ladies” is the best-preserved temple in Cambodia. The bas-reliefs of this small temple are some of the best specimens of classical Khmer artwork. Banteay Srey is exclusive to Angkor.

Take a lunch break at a local restaurant near the temple and enjoy authentic Cambodian cuisine before continuing your tour.

In the afternoon, we will visit the magnificent Ta Prohm temple, famous for its giant tree roots of enormous banyans and strangler figs entwine most of the stonework, producing images that have changed little since Henri Mouhot unearthed Angkor in 1863. This temple makes the “Tomb Raider Temple” one of the most iconic and spectacular Angkorian structures.

Experience a meaningful traditional Buddhist monk blessing in Angkor Thom, surrounded by the ancient temples and peaceful atmosphere of the Angkor archaeological area. A local monk will offer prayers and blessings for good luck, happiness, peace, health, and protection, followed by a sacred water blessing and the tying of traditional red or white blessing strings around your wrist. We will then continue to Bayon temple is the magnificent centerpiece of the ancient city of Angkor Thom.

DAY 2: Today, we will visit one of the floating communities in Siem Reap, offering us a glimpse into the way of life of local fishermen on the great Tonle Sap Lake at (Kampong Pluk) OR (Kompong Kleang) village with houses constructed on stilts up to 10 meters high to withstand the rainy season’s flooding. Discover the villager’s daily existence. As was formerly the case, the villagers here make their living through fishing. We take a traditional wooden boat, we travel along the canal into Tonle Sap Lake. The floating town is a vast community that has lived and worked on the river for ages. In addition to residences, the hamlet contains schools, shops, workshops, floating houses and a Buddhist monastery.

We’ll see the Beang Melea temple, one of the last Hindu sanctuaries constructed before the spread of Buddhism. While no major conservation or restoration work has been conducted this is one of the most fascinating places to visit in addition, this location is surrounded by the jungle.

DAY-3: Morning departure from your hotel, and begin your tour at Phsar Leu, one of Siem Reap’s largest local markets. Explore the colorful stalls filled with fresh vegetables, fruits, meat, spices, clothing, household goods, and other products used by local Cambodian families. This is a great opportunity to experience everyday life beyond the tourist areas. Continue to the APOPO Visitor Center to learn about the famous HeroRATs. Discover how specially trained rats help detect landmines and unexploded ordnance, contributing to Cambodia’s ongoing efforts to make communities safer. This is an educational and inspiring experience that highlights an important part of Cambodia’s modern history. Visit a local memorial and genocide museum to learn about the tragic period of the Khmer Rouge regime. Through photographs, historical information, and personal stories, you will gain a deeper understanding of Cambodia’s difficult past and the resilience of its people.

In the late afternoon, we will head to explore the Angkor National Museum, home to an impressive collection of Khmer artifacts, sculptures, inscriptions, and religious objects. Learn about the development of the Khmer Empire, its kings, religion, art, and architecture before seeing the temples of Angkor. Take a walk around the Royal Residence area in the heart of Siem Reap. Learn about Cambodia’s royal heritage and see the surroundings of the present-day royal residence, while enjoying the peaceful gardens and nearby landmarks. End your city tour with a visit to Wat Rajabo, a peaceful Buddhist monastery. Observe traditional Cambodian Buddhist life, see the monastery grounds, and learn about the role of Buddhism in Cambodian culture and daily life.
